Leonardo Caffo

Born in Catania in 1988, Leonardo Caffo is a philosopher and works at the Labont Research centre (Ontology Laboratory) of the University of Torino and is a fellow of the Oxford Centre for Animal Ethics. Among his many books, the much debated antispecist manifesto “Il maiale non fa la rivoluzione” (The pig doesn’t make the revolution, Sonda, 2013), “Naturalism and Constructivism in Metaethics (Cambridge SP, 2014) and “Margini dell’umanità” (Margins of Humanity, Mimesis 2014). He co-authored with Roberto Marchesini “Così parlò il postumano” (Thus spoke the posthuman, Novalogos, 2014), with Valentina Sonzogni “Un’arte per l’altro” (An art for the other, Graphe 2014), with Maurizio Ferraris “Filosofia globalizzata” (Globalised philosophy, Mimesis 2014) and with Felice Cimatti “A come animale” (A like Animal, Bompiani 2015). He edited numerous works and translations of foreign philosophers and recently he edited, expanded and introduced Melanie Joy’s book Strategic Action for Animals (Italian title: “Finalmente la liberazione animale”, Sonda, 2014) in Italy.
