He got his degree in Natural Sciences and since 1974 he has been teaching General Biology and, since 2001, Foundations of Environmental Law at the Department of Biology (University of Padua); he is also a teacher on the Masters course in Bioethics in Padua.
Tamino has always been involved in environmental problems, renewable energies, sustainability, biotechnologies, research in the field of environmental pollution, publishing books and writing numerous articles in scientific, cultural and popular magazines. He has always studied how energy plants and incinerators work in order to assess their environmental impact and the biological, cancerous and mutagen risks caused by the current biotechnologies and electromagnetic fields.
He has participated in several congresses as well as radio and TV programmes, in particular RAI (he belongs to the RAI team of experts on energy transfer Caterpillar).

If we wish to cover 10% of the Italian energy needs with biomasses, we should have a territory three times larger than the current size dedicated to biomass cultivations.
