Paolo Ermani is the director of the PAEA Association (Alternative Projects for Energy and Environment), co-founder and vice-president of the Movement for Happy Degrowth and contributor of the online newspaper il Cambiamento.
For twenty years he has been promoting renewable energies and power saving. For five years he has been working at the Energie und Umweltzentrum, centre for energy and environment in Springe (Germany) and has been attending the best European centres for the alternative energies, such as the Centre for alternative technology in Galles, the Folkecenter in Denmark, Artefact in Germany and De kleine Aarde in Holland.
For nine years he has been the technical and organisational director of the Ecologic House - the biggest exhibition in Europe about renewable energies and power savings with 150 meetings in several Italian towns until today. With PAEA he took part in training courses, fairies, public meetings, exhibitions, environmental teachings and consultancies.
From 1993 he has been organising at the Energie und Umweltzentrum a course for Italians about "Energy- environment-work": a training opportunity for all people who want to biuld a sustainable economy.
He made a great contribution to the book “Un programma politico per la decrescita” (Edizioni per la decrescita felice, 2008), he published with Valerio Pignatta "Pensare come le montagne" (Terra Nuova Edizioni, 2011) and wrote with Simone Perotti "Ufficio di Scollocamento", published last May by ChiareLettere (2012).
